Federico Chiesa, after a limited 104-minute Premier League season with Liverpool, remains focused on reclaiming form ahead of 2025–26. Though open to returning to Juventus, he prioritises Liverpool and Italy’s 2026 World Cup plans. Chiesa has 21 goals and 17 assists for Juventus in 98 games, plus 26 goals for Fiorentina before that.

In the summer of 2025, Federico Chiesa finds himself at a career crossroads after a quiet debut season with Liverpool. The Italian forward, who joined the Reds from Juventus for £10 million plus add-ons, made just 104 minutes of league appearances across six matches. Despite being part of Liverpool’s Premier League-winning squad, his only start came on the final matchday.

Chiesa, a Euro 2020 winner, has addressed speculation of a return to Juventus, revealing that while he holds fond memories of his four-year stint there—where he scored 21 goals and made 17 assists in 98 Serie A games—his priority remains to regain form and fight for a place at Liverpool. Chiesa recalled how then-Juventus coach Thiago Motta told him he was no longer part of their plans, prompting his move to England.

He stressed his strong relationship with Liverpool and aims to make an impact in the upcoming season, with hopes of featuring for Italy in the 2026 World Cup. Though rumours of a Serie A return continue, Chiesa remains focused on pre-season preparations. Looking ahead, the 26-year-old forward remains ambitious, saying, “I played and won a European Championship, but the World Cup would be the top.”
