After the summer transfer window opened, Manchester United’s attempts to find a new club for winger Jadon Sancho have faced significant hurdles. Chelsea, despite Sancho’s strong performance in the Conference League final, decided against signing him permanently due to concerns over his consistency and high wage demands. Consequently, Chelsea opted to return Sancho to Manchester United, paying a £5 million penalty to INEOS for the arrangement. Sancho’s situation is further complicated by his lack of opportunities at Sporting Lisbon, where coach Ruben Amorim does not see a future for him.

His co-owners are actively seeking new clubs willing to offer first-team football. West Ham was offered Sancho on an “affordable” deal, and the player was open to joining if guaranteed regular playtime. However, West Ham’s manager Graham Potter declined the offer, preferring different player profiles for his squad.
