Chelsea owner Todd Boehly revealed that major England Premier League clubs plan heavy spending this summer. Despite over £1 billion invested under Boehly and Eghbali, Chelsea aims to sign a top striker like Liam Delap, facing competition from Manchester United and Boehly also praised Andrey Santos and confirmed stability in his role as club chairman.
After the conclusion of the 2024–25 season, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly shared insights on the upcoming summer transfer window, highlighting a wave of expected investments across Premier League clubs. Despite already spending over £1 billion since taking over, Boehly and co-owner Behdad Eghbali are prepared to further strengthen Chelsea’s squad—particularly targeting a new striker.
The Blues are interested in young forward Liam Delap but face competition from Manchester United, who could lure him with Champions League football. Other high-profile strikers on Chelsea’s radar include Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres, and Victor Osimhen, all of whom are also attracting attention from top European clubs.
Boehly told Bloomberg that several “well-heeled clubs” are ready to spend heavily this summer, viewing this trend as positive for the Premier League's competitiveness. Chelsea, known for being one of the league’s top spenders, will likely need to continue that pattern to keep pace with leaders like Liverpool.
Boehly also addressed internal rumours, confirming he would stay on as chairman and expressing confidence in young talent Andrey Santos, who is expected to return from his loan at Strasbourg. Chelsea fans can expect another aggressive transfer window as the club seeks to return to the top.
