Hyderabad FC have signed I-League standout Lamgoulen Hangshing from Churchill Brothers on a one-year deal, with an option to extend. The 27-year-old right back played 21 matches in the 2024-25 season, scoring 2 goals, 1 assist, and keeping 3 clean sheets. This marks his ISL debut after over 100 games and captaincy experience in the I-League.

In the lead-up to the 2025-26 Indian Super League (ISL) season, Hyderabad FC have made their first domestic signing by roping in seasoned defender Lamgoulen Hangshing from Churchill Brothers. The 27-year-old, known as Gogou, signs a one-year deal with the Nizams, with an option to extend it by another year based on performance. His contract with Churchill Brothers expires this summer, prompting interest from three other ISL clubs before Hyderabad sealed the deal.

Gogou has been a standout performer in the I-League, playing over 100 matches for Churchill Brothers since joining them in the 2018-19 season. In the 2024-25 campaign alone, he played 21 games, scored two goals, provided one assist, and helped his team secure three clean sheets. Demonstrating discipline and leadership, he received only two yellow cards and was also entrusted with the captain’s armband.

Capable of playing as a right back, right midfielder, and centre back, Gogou’s versatility will be valuable for Hyderabad FC as they undergo a major squad overhaul. The 2025-26 season marks his ISL debut, and a strong showing could boost his chances of earning a national team call-up. This move reflects Hyderabad FC's intent to rebuild with experienced domestic talent.
