For the 2024-25 season, the English Premier League (EPL) experienced a slight decline in average viewership on NBC Sports in the United States, with numbers dropping by 7% compared to the previous season. Despite this decrease, NBC still averaged 510,000 viewers per EPL game, marking the fourth consecutive season with averages above 500,000 — a record for the league’s US broadcasts.

In total, viewers consumed 17.14 billion minutes of EPL action throughout the season, with 12 games attracting over 1 million average viewers, the second-highest tally in NBC’s 12-year partnership with the league. The highest-viewed game was the opening match between Chelsea and Manchester City, which drew 1.8 million viewers. On the streaming front, NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform aired four of the seven most-streamed EPL games ever in the US, with the Arsenal vs. Manchester United clash on February 2 being the most-streamed game, averaging 1 million viewers per minute.

Fans streamed over 4 billion minutes of EPL content for the second straight year. Social media engagement also rose significantly, with NBC Sports’ accounts seeing a 15% increase in impressions and a 34% jump in video views. Their YouTube channel surpassed 180 million total video views for the third consecutive season. NBC’s current six-year EPL broadcasting deal is valued at $2.69 billion through 2027-28.
