Now, the 33-year-old striker is set for an emotional return to the CBS Arena to face his former club Coventry City.

Having spent five memorable years at Coventry, Godden described the club as "like family," staying in touch with many former teammates and receiving good luck wishes during the play-offs. His departure to Charlton a year ago marked a fresh challenge, and his goal in the semi-final played a key role in Charlton’s journey back to the Championship. Though thrilled with his own success, Godden admitted he was "gutted" by Coventry’s dramatic play-off exit.
