Smaaash Entertainment, co-owned by Sachin Tendular, has brought soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo on board to endorse their company. The company, which recently has ventured into football as part of its arcade gaming portfolio, plans on launching arcade games which include cricket and football at multiple new venues.

Smaaash Entertainment is a sports-based virtual entertainment company which will open gaming arcades in two places in the Middle East. The 65,000 sq ft gaming arcade includes sports like soccer, cricket and other virtual games and has plans to set up arcades in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in July and another one in Dubai two months later.

Shirpal Morakhia, founder and chief imagination officer of Smaaash, said the team is currently developing an electronic ball-throwing machine which could be compatible with soccer as well. “We perfected our electronic ball-throwing machines with cricket and are now extending that to soccer,” Shirpal said, as reported by Zee News. The company has invested around Rs 15 crore developing the soccer games.

The terms and clauses of the contract with Cristiano Ronaldo was not revealed, but is speculated to be a minimum of five years with an annual fee payment. The contract currently covers the Middle East nations and India.
