For the summer of 2026, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has set his sights on landing Erling Haaland as the long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker, now 37, is nearing the end of his contract and is unlikely to be offered an extension despite scoring an impressive 42 goals last season to help Barca win La Liga. With the club preparing to return to Camp Nou after its renovation, finding a new No.9 is considered a priority.
Reports suggest that while Atletico Madrid’s Argentine forward Julian Alvarez is under consideration, Haaland remains the dream signing for Laporta.
