Juventus are in talks to sign Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, who has scored just 4 goals in 29 Premier League games this season. Signed for £72m from Atalanta, the 22-year-old has underperformed, prompting new manager Ruben Amorim to seek attacking reinforcements. Joshua Zirkzee, now thriving as an attacking midfielder, is more likely to stay.

After the arrival of Ruben Amorim in November 2024, Manchester United's transfer strategy and squad assessment entered a new phase. One major focus has been striker Rasmus Hojlund, who joined United for £72 million from Atalanta but has struggled in his second season, scoring just four goals in 29 Premier League appearances. This poor return has fueled United’s worst attacking season in years and triggered a transfer rethink. According to reports, Juventus have initiated talks to sign Hojlund this summer, hoping to secure a deal swiftly amid interest from other clubs.

Juventus are in search of new attacking options, especially with Dusan Vlahovic expected to leave and Randal Kolo Muani’s future uncertain. They previously pursued Joshua Zirkzee, now at United, whose form has improved under Amorim, especially in a deeper role. Zirkzee is now more likely to stay, while Hojlund could be part of a wider summer exodus.

Despite his league struggles, Hojlund showed promise in Europe, impressing in the recent 3-0 Europa League win over Athletic Club. Amorim called it his best game yet, praising his movement, decision-making, and link-up play. However, the manager warned that form can shift quickly, leaving Hojlund’s future hanging in the balance ahead of a crucial transfer window.
