Outer Delhi Warriors completely outmuscled the Purani Delhi 6 in the sixth game of the ongoing Delhi Premier League 2025. Star spinner Suyash Sharma’s outstanding bowling performance (4/17 in four overs) helped the Warriors bundle out PD6 for a very low total while defending the target.

Outer Delhi Warriors’ skipper Siddhant Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. The opening pair of Priyansh Arya and Sanat Sangwan came up with an aggressive approach, adding 45 runs for the first wicket in just 5.3 overs. Rajneesh Dadar provided two back-to-back breakthroughs for PD6, as he dismissed Priyansh Arya (16) on the third ball of the sixth over and Sangwan (26), who was caught by Dev Lakra, in the fifth ball of the same over. Following the departure of the openers, the wickets fell in quick succession, and the Warriors found themselves at 96/5 in 13 overs. After a middle-order failure, the lower-order batters Harsh Tyagi and Siddhant took charge from 108/7 to stitch a crucial and stabilizing partnership of 39 runs for the eighth wicket. Tyagi scored 17 runs off 16 balls, hitting two fours, alongside Siddhant’s 14-ball 21, with one four and two sixes. It was PD6’s Udhav Mohan who ran through the middle order of the Warriors, claiming a sensational five-wicket haul for 26 runs in his four overs. He was accompanied by Rajneesh Dadar (2/14) and Pardeep Parashar (2/22) to bundle out the ODW for a score of 148 runs.

However, something miserable was waiting to happen for the Purani Delhi 6, as their batters were left clueless against the Warriors’ bowling attack led by spinner Suyash Sharma. PD6 had a horrific start as they lost their first four wickets, with the team score reading just 31 runs in six overs. All the top-order batters failed to reach double digits, except for Samarth Seth’s 18 runs off 17 balls. All-rounder Lalit Yadav joined Seth to touch the double-digit mark, scoring 20 runs off 24 balls, with two fours. However, these two knocks just ended up as an effort to extend the inevitable as the Suyash Sharma-led attack bundled out Purani Delhi at the score of just 66 runs in 14.3 overs. The leg-spinner registered amazing bowling figures of 4/17 in his four overs, with an economy rate of just 4.25, alongside three wickets picked by Shaurya Malik.

With this win, the Outer Delhi Warriors registered their first success in the tournament to move to the third spot in the tournament’s points table.
