CSK vs PBKS | Twitter in splits as ecstatic Jadeja rejoices after catching Dhoni's six

Chennai Super Kings has been synonymous with camaraderie and loyalty ever since it came into existence in 2008. This is why the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni have been associated with the franchise since forever, and the duo served up a wholesome moment for the fans at Chepauk on Wednesday.

Chennai Super Kings broke free from their shackles at home on Wednesday as a spectacular 47-ball 88 from Sam Curran propelled the side to 190, their highest first innings total of the season so far. In fact, it took a four-wicket Yuzvendra Chahal penultimate over with MS Dhoni, Deepak Hooda, Anshul Kamboj, and Noor Ahmad as the victims -- the latter three forming part of a hat-trick -- to restrict the Yellow Army to under 200. While Kamboj as well as Noor are tailenders and Hooda has been enduring a terrible rough patch, Dhoni certainly had the potential to power the team to better numbers, a glimpse of which he showed on the first ball of the very same over that culminated in a hilarious moment involving Ravindra Jadeja.

Chahal began the 19th over with a big full wide on the off-side before flighting one straighter and just a hint shorter to tempt a mistake from Dhoni. However, the 40-year-old was more than up to the task as he danced down the pitch and with one clean swing, dispatched the ball back over the spinner's head. The Kookaburra went soaring into the night sky, but had just enough distance to clear long-on and head for the dugouts at Chepauk. Thankfully for all involved, Jadeja was stood guard where the ball was about to descend, and took a composed grab in trademark style to avoid any harm.

However, it would not have been Jadeja without him pumping both fists and celebrating the mock dismissal, before he threw the ball back into the turf much to Twitterati's amusement.
