LSG vs GT | Twitter reacts as Bishnoi convinces Pant to waste review but save a run in doing so

In a sport with as fine margins as cricket and a tournament as competitive as the Indian Premier League, every small edge matters. Lucknow Super Giants spurned one such trump card against Gujarat Titans on Saturday when Ravi Bishnoi convinced Rishabh Pant for a review, but not all went to waste.

Gujarat Titans put up yet another clinical top-order batting display to register the first century opening stand of IPL 2025 as Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill combined for 120 runs in 12 overs before the latter succumbed to Avesh Khan. However, if Ravi Bishnoi were to be believed, the stand should have ended in the seventh over itself, and he used the sheer value of the scalp based on Gujarat's top-heavy batting order to convince skipper Rishabh Pant in going upstairs.

On the last ball of his opening effort, after having been pummelled for 12 in the first five deliveries already, Bishnoi slid one down Sai's leg that the opener tried to whip away with a stretched front foot but could only connect with clear air. Nevertheless, the willow was close enough to the Kookaburra to elicit a large appeal from both the bowler and keeper but when the umpire diffidently signalled wide, Bishnoi could not believe his luck while Pant immediately shot a look at Sai to gauge his reaction. It seemed that the glovesman had seen enough to understand there was no nick, but Bishnoi was in no mood to listen as he kept pestering his captain until he signalled with his hands.

As it turned out, the ball had indeed missed the bat but ruffled Sai's pants on the way, meaning even though LSG lost a review they did save a run given the wide call was overturned.

What's Happening!

Lol!

Pathetic!

True!

Whata player!

Fifty!

Unreal!

Not anymore!
