RCB vs GT | Twitter reacts to Kohli’s no-holds-barred cover drive to brother-turned-opposition Siraj

If there could be an eighth wonder of the world corresponding to the cricket world, Virat Kohli’s cover drive would surely be a worthy nomination. The Indian stalwart executed a lovely cover drive against his former teammate and close mate Mohammed Siraj, who was a part of his opposition team.

As the toss favoured the visiting captain Shubman Gill, the idea to field first paid dividends as Arshad Khan and Mohammed Siraj hit the right areas in the first couple of overs. Despite dominating the first couple of overs, Kohli’s glorious stroke after a mid-way stop from Siraj’s run-up was one of the cherished moments among fans.

After a single off the first ball of the opening over, Kohli seemed unprepared to face Siraj as the Hyderabad pacer had to reload after a half-stop. Subsequently, he dished a length ball outside the stumps that the right-hander prodded forward to drive it on the up. Kohli came into a good position to time the cover drive beautifully through the two fielders on the off side. Seeing Siraj stop and get bashed for a four by his non-biological brother, the Twitterverse abuzz.

Hahaha! Expected!

Yupe!

Good shot!

LOL! Yesss!

Yeah he scored a four!

Yeah!

Hmm ok cool!

Why crying? Enjoy game bruh!

That's how you start!
