There is no room for repetitive errors when the stakes are high. Team India seemed to have not learned from their past mistakes that cost them the opener against New Zealand in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as Asha Sobhana’s dropped dolly adds to the latest in the embarrassing list.

Despite losing the toss and being compelled to field first under the scorching heat of Dubai, Indian bowlers did the hard yards and yielded positive results. The batter mistimed the ramp attempt straight to the hands of short third man fielder where Sobhana dropped a dolly. The ball slipped through the palms of the Puducherry-based spinner, allowing Muneeba to breathe free. As any bowler would feel, Reddy was utterly dejected with the casual approach and the Twitterverse questioned India’s intent in learning from past mistakes.
