Sachin Tendulkar reacted to a Tweet sent out by ICC’s official handle which compared Rohit Sharma’s six against Hasan Ali to one that the Master Blaster had hit against Shoaib Akhtar at the 2003 World Cup. Later on, Rohit Sharma went on to react to Tendulkar’s Tweet yesterday afternoon.

The Indian cricket team made their way to a comfortable win against rivals Pakistan on Sunday at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Rohit Sharma was the star for the 2011 World Cup winners as he made his way to score of 140 from 112 deliveries. During his magnificent innings, Sharma hit a stunning six off a Hasan Ali delivery in the 27th over which the crowd thoroughly enjoyed. The Indian fans quickly recollected that Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar had hit a similar shot against legendary Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar at the 2003 World Cup as India made it to the final that year.

In response to the Tweet sent out by ICC, Tendulkar responded by saying that both the batsmen are from the same hometown - Mumbai.

Later on, Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma responded to Tendulkar’s Tweet as he approved of the Master Blaster’s comment on the issue.
