IPL 2020 | Mohali to host all Kings XI Punjab games

Kings XI Punjab CEO Satish Menon has confirmed that all games to be hosted by the franchise in Indian Premier League 2020 will be played at the PCA stadium in Mohali. Recently, there were speculations that some home fixtures of the Punjab-based franchise might be played at a second venue.

Menon rubbished all speculations surrounding the KXIP team hosting some of its IPL 13 games at the Ekana International Stadium in Lucknow as its second home base. He went on to reveal that the franchise will keep on hosting all the games of the forthcoming season in Mohali itself. 

“There is absolutely no truth to all that. This time, we are not looking at a second venue. We will play all the seven home games in Mohali this season. That’s where things stand,” Menon affirmed, as quoted by Sportstar on Friday.

Two seasons ago, in IPL 11, the Kings XI Punjab had used the Holkar Stadium in Indore as its second home ground and hosted multiple matches there.

Meanwhile, KXIP, who had earlier appointed Anil Kumble as their head coach, have now roped in former South Africa cricketer Jonty Rhodes as the fielding coach. Rhodes has ample IPL experience with him having worked with the Mumbai Indians.
