WI vs IND | Darren Bravo, John Campbell headline West Indies 'A' squad to face India

West Indies have named senior members Darren Bravo and John Campbell in the squad to face India for the warm-up match scheduled to start on August 17. India will take on West Indies 'A' in a three-day warm-up match in Antigua before the first Test which is set to commence from August 22.

The West Indies have decided to add some extra spice to the warm-up match against India by throwing in senior players Darren Bravo and John Campbell into the squad alongside the likes of limited-overs specialists Rovman Powell, Khary Pierre, and Jason Mohammed. The time in the middle should serve invaluable for both Bravo and Campbell, who despite getting off to starts in their last Test series against England, failed to make it count.

Meanwhile, the trio of Jeremy Solozano, Akim Fraser and Romario Shepherd - who excelled for the West Indies 'A' team in the unofficial Test series against the India 'A' side a few weeks ago - will also feature in the squad.

On the other hand, this should also serve as a stern test for the Indians ahead of the actual Test, as more often than not, visiting teams are hard done by the hosts by fielding relatively weak teams for warm-up matches.

West Indies 'A' squad for tour-match: Jahmar Hamilton (captain), Darren Bravo, John Campbell, Jonathan Carter, Akim Fraser, Keon Harding, Kavem Hodge, Brandon King, Jason Mohammed, Marquino Mindley, Khary Pierre, Rovman Powell, Romario Shepherd and Jeremy Solozano
