The BCCI have announced the schedule for the Women’s T20 challenge, with three out of four matches having prime-time evening slots. The four matches are scheduled on May 6, May 8, May 9 and May 11 and apart from the second game, which starts at 3:30 pm, all other matches will begin at 7:30 pm.

For the second consecutive year in a row, the BCCI decided to conduct women's matches during the IPL playoffs, and this season the format will be a single round-robin rounded off with a final. While the format of it was already announced, there were some apprehensions considering the fact that Jaipur is the hottest city in the country at the moment.

However, the board brought an end to the suspension, by announcing that three matches will be held in the evening while the second game, which coincides with the IPL, will start at 3.30 PM. This was decided after discussing with host broadcasters, Star Sports, who will telecast all four matches.

Alongside the two teams, who participated in last year’s event, IPL Supernovas and IPL Trailblazers, this season will have a third team in the form of IPL Velocity, which will be led by Mithali Raj. Like last year, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana will captain Supernovas and Trailblazers respectively.

Apart from announcing the Women’s T20 Challenge details, the BCCI has also confirmed the speculation that the IPL play-offs and final will start at 7.30 PM instead of a regular timing of 8 PM.
