Delhi Capitals have called for an emergency camp as they actively look for a replacement for the injured Harshal Patel that was seen the likes of Manoj Tiwary, Manpreet Singh Gony, Tushar Deshpande and others attending the camp on Thursday. Tiwary will travel with the team to Hyderabad on Sunday.

It was the match against Kings XI Punjab that Patel sustained a hand injury before he was ruled out of the tournament. It prompted Delhi think tank, Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly to call a clutch of domestic cricketers for the camp in order to find a replacement.

The mentoring duo was seen supervise a number of players at the Eden Gardens ahead of their clash with Kolkata Knight Riders. However, Ponting has revealed that apart from Patel, the side has other injury concerns as well.

"Harshal Patel has been ruled out of the tournament. He suffered a fracture in his right hand in the game against Kings XI Punjab. It took us a few days to get to the bottom of the problem. Manjot Kalra has a niggle in his right arm, he has to pass a full fitness test. That's the reason we've got so many guys here on trial," said Ponting, reported TOI.

However, while a replacement is yet to be decided Ganguly revealed that Tiwary, who has played for  KKR, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, and Rising Pune Supergiants before, would be travelling with the team to Hyderabad for the match on Sunday.

"Tiwary will travel with the team for our next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (on Sunday). He will continue training till we take a final call," said Ganguly.

Tiwary, however, said that he hasn’t been given assurances when asked. "Yes, I attended the trials. I felt that it went off well. I had a chat with DC advisor Sourav Ganguly and coach Ricky Ponting. I have not been officially told anything. Hoping for the best," he said.
