BCCI asks state associations to improve various facilities

The much-awaited meeting between the BCCI officials, state team captains, and coaches concluded on Monday and a source close to TOI revealed that the BCCI had asked the state associations to improve their facilities and infrastructure and praised Eden Gardens for their improvements in the recent years.

Many IPL teams had complained about the various states’ mismanagement in conducting the IPL matches as the franchises had to make a separate budget to make the stadium match ready. To this, the BCCI has asked the various associations to have recycling waste systems for water bottles or a plastic waste through a presentation and have emphasized on maintaining the cleanliness in and around the stadium. 

“It is also the responsibility of the associations hosting the IPL games to ensure that IPL teams don’t have too many complaints after the stadium handover is done,” said the source

In the meeting, suggestions were put up for rewarding the best performers in domestic cricket with cash rewards just to make the domestic season a little bit more interesting

“There should be more money in the domestic circuit to make it profitable.”

It was informed that various state team coaches had demanded uniform pay structure for them as many coaches would be paid by the state association after looking at the coach’s demand and reputation. This issue was raised to voice against the disparities the coaches had been facing in the domestic circuit.
