South Africa A clinched to a 2-wicket victory against India A chasing 153 thanks to a gritty 37-run innings from Farhaan Behardien to register their first win in the tri-series. Earlier in the game, Manish Pandey's 55 helped India post a paltry total of 152 on the board that almost proved enough.

South Africa A won the toss and wisely chose to field first on the bowling-friendly Groenkloof Stadium. India A started the proceedings with Sanju Samson and Karun Nair with the former departing as early as the second over. Nair hung on his end as the second wicket fell three deliveries later. Nair and Manish Pandey forged a 42-run partnership which was India's highest in the innings before the former fell victim to a Dwaine Pretorius.

Following Nair's wicket, the Indian innings crumbled with Pandey holding one end and some resistance offered by Yuzvendra Chahal at the lower order as India were bowled out for 152 in 41.5 overs owing to some exceptional bowling from left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso who finished with figures of 4/30.

In response, South African A top order toppled down easily losing 5 wickets for 71 runs before Farhaan Behardien and Dwaine Pretorius weaved a 62-run partnership and Aaron Phangiso chipped in with the bat too as the hosts emerged victorious in a nail-biting encounter. Yuzvendra Chahal was India's best bowler with figures of 3/41.

Brief scores: India A 152 in 41.5 overs (Manish Pandey 55; Aaron Phangiso 4-30) lost to South Africa A 153/8 in 37.4 overs (Dwaine Pretorius 38; Yuzvendra Chahal 3-41) by two wickets.
