WATCH: Mohammed Amir left stunned after Kamran Akmal deliberately misses a catch

Despite becoming the first Asian to complete 800 catches behind the stumps in first-class cricket, Kamran Akmal is still synonymous with missing easy catches, which he comes up with every now and then. His latest antics happened yesterday in the T10 league, leaving Mohammed Amir in utter disbelief.

The incident in question occurred in the first semi-final match of the T10 league between Kerala Kings and Maratha Arabians. Chasing a total of 98 runs Kings started their innings pretty well, thanks to some wonderful early fireworks from Chadwick Walton and Paul Stirling. After the dismissal of Walton, England skipper Eoin Morgan came out to bat and continued his brilliant run to take Kerala to the finals.

However, Arabians had gotten a real chance to dismiss Stirling, when he got down on one knee and scooped Amir’s short of length delivery over the keeper’s head. The catch, which looked ridiculously simple, saw Akmal throw his bodyweight towards it in anticipation and quite unreasonably, decided to take away his hands and let it race towards the boundary for a boundary.

His act left the entire team in utter disbelief and particularly, Amir, who seemed like he was not in a position to understand what he just witnessed. After missing that catch, Akmal decided to run towards the pacer to explain him the situation, but that didn’t take off the frustration from Amir's face.
